Been busy like usual. Heroes of Ruin is out in the US in just a couple of days. It's already been out in UK regions and I believe Australia. Doing pretty good I think. Out this week also is a Kinect Title we did for Wrigleys called 5 Micro Challenge, to promote their new micro packs of gum. Also Great Big War Game should be out soonish as well, I believe just waiting on the go ahead from Apple. Back to work!
I've gotten tons more praise for my work on Great Little War Game than any other game I've worked on. Something about it translates real well to mobile gaming and I've done tons of mobile games.
If I'm asked to do another installment at some time I hope to have more music, and more time to orchestrate everything. I love the theme I came up with, but I only wrote a handful of songs due to size limitations and of course delivery schedule. A PC version is out so if anything is to be done for a sequel I'd love to write a whole "campaign" worth of tunes. I'd love to include tons more voices with customizable radio effects. Maybe have a whole squad of differently voiced characters (currently they are all "me") and other stuff. I'll ping the guys and see what's up, if any of my crazy ideas would help. Yup, there are plenty of reviews, but it is hard sometimes to get noticed for audio but I found a nice one from slidegamer.com this morning that I updated the GLWG page with!
Sometimes it's tough getting much attention for audio in an iOS game but the reviewers have been really kind to the score, sfx and vo I produced for GLWG. So I thought I'd pull some snippets out and update the GLWG page with it. They are there now! Wait for it! NOW!!!

Nice to be ranked in with the rest of those games. It's a great list to be part of. iPad is a serious contender now for games. Maybe now there will be a GLWG 2?!? Maybe a budget for live orchestra?!? Heh. I actually have done more games in the last year but I've only gotten around to encapsulating my contribution to Great Little War Game. It's available on my Credits page...I think. Yeah it is. Plus I'm writing this blog snippet about it so I'm probably telling the truth.
Just about wrapped up everything for Great Little War Game, an iOS title that I think people are just going to gobble up. Quick turnaround with this one, but I think it came out pretty well. Cranked out a catchy tune that I can't get out of my head now...so...I hope that's a boon. Otherwise, check out the trailer and pick it up when it's out! |
